Chapter Sixty-Three. PC Mabel Walters.
Thank the lord above my first week is over. Do not mistake me, I love being back to work, and the guys I work with day to day are brilliant. The others, that I am investigating, not so much, but all in all I am enjoying being a part of the station.
The only negative is that I have felt so much guilt about leaving Marnie all week with Mel and hardly having any time with her when I get back from work, before she needs to go to bed. But, when I mentioned it to Cal last night, when he called to see if I had a good week, he told me that he understood and promised me that both Marnie and I would get used to it. He also reassured me that I am working to set a good example to my new daughter.
