Not only did Ren stay asleep the entire night, but he was also one of the last ones to wake up the next morning.
Kade was idling on his bed, already bathed and dressed for the day ahead. He was just whiling the minutes away on his phone until he had no choice but to rouse Ren or they wouldn’t make it in time for breakfast.
But Ren woke up by himself before he had to.
“So?” Kade asked at once after Ren sat up on the edge of his bed, blearily rubbing his extra puffy eyes. “We going or staying?”
Ren’s hands paused. “We?” he repeated. “…I thought you didn’t have the money?”
“I asked my older sister if I could borrow from her. She said it’s fine, as long as I pay her back with 10% interest.”
Despite himself, Ren chuckled weakly. “How generous. She must really love you.”
“Yeah. To bits.”
