The thought made Rhys pause.
Finding himself a little too pitiful in his ignorance and uncertainty, he took out his phone and typed a message.
“What does it mean to be interested in someone?”
Quite quickly after he hit Send, a reply came from Mei.
“Are you really asking ME of all people? How should I know??”
Rhys realized after reading her reply that she was right. They made quite a pair when it came to how generally uninterested they were in others.
But just as he was about to let the matter go for now, Mei sent another message, backtracking a little.
