I could understand why Damien was sceptical about Verena but he didn’t know her, I can’t say that I knew her that well myself but I knew her well enough to know that she would help me just as she had promised me she would. I appreciated and understood his concern but I didn’t want to entertain any negative thoughts. I didn’t want to allow his doubts to end up clouding my mind and convincing me otherwise.
I didn’t want to doubt anything that she had told me because she was literally my only hope when it came to understanding my wolf and even connecting to him. There was no way that I was going to conquer James without knowing how to control my wolf. My wolf knew and understood that James was the enemy but my fear was that I would never be able to be myself if I ever allowed
