Victoria and I had been in the human city for a few days now, and we still hadn’t gotten anywhere with finding the so-called one that she was looking for. What I was failing to understand was why this witch would ask Victoria to find her and then not tell her where she could be found.
It felt like we were looking for a needle in a haystack because there were so many humans in this city, and any of them could be the witch that we were searching for. This would have been much easier if I had been looking for a wolf, unlike witches wolves could never pose as humans because of their scent. We could try, but we would never be able to truly blend in with the humans.
