“Did you finally get on the task that I gave you?” Damien asked as he pressed his phone on his ear. He didn’t seem like he was trying to hide the conversation he was having but it also seemed like he didn’t want me to hear what they were saying to each other.
“How long will it take to get to her?” I heard Damien asking over the phone as I walked out of the bathroom
“Oh, ok thanks man. I never doubted you” he said and I watched him trying to figure out who he was talking to and who he was trying to get to. I was hoping he was talking about Verena but the hopes of him helping me find her were shattered when he told me that none of his wolves knew how to track a witch.
