I couldn't believe it when I got the call that the Winter Falls pack had been viciously attacked last night. I got out of the helicopter along with Council Member Riley, wondering what the hell had happened. Who could have done this? Yes, Claude Simmons had amassed many enemies, but he was locked up. We entered the pack, and the smell of blood hit me immediately. It hung in the air. It wasn't long before we started seeing the bodies or what was left of some of them. It was horrific. "What kind of coward would do this to a defenceless pack?" Council member Riley said, his voice full of disgust. He was rigt. Only a total coward would attack a pack that had no leader and barely any fighters.
