An hour later, I’d still hadn’t decided on what to do. It was almost ten in the evening—too late to call Drika or Aleid, anyway. After I’d taken a long hot shower and popped half a sleeping pill, I’d tried to sleep, but couldn’t stop my mind from racing. What if Donnie took off tonight?
