I didn't sleep. I spent the rest of the night sitting in the guest room, staring at the closed door, imagining Leon's face. l wish l could see him even asleep but I didn't have the courage to overstep Luca's conditions because he's already angry at me. The morning was even more stressful because l didn't know what to think or say. Would he be angry? Confused? Would he even remember me? I finally dressed in a simple, soft sweater and jeans, pulling the collar high to hide the exhaustion and anxiety etched on my face.
