Elisha shifted to face him and went directly in his arms, not conscious of the people around them.
"Alik!" She placed her arms on his waist and cried again uncontrollably.
Alik placed his arms around her, bewildered why she was in tears. He was aware that she met with the elders' council that morning. He came early since he wanted to know what happened to her talk with the council. He never expected her to be too bothered.
Did the council deny her pleading to marry him? If so, then he would squeeze and pressed them to give in. He just delayed his moves since Elisha told him that she would take care of her battles, but he couldn't allow them to bully her anymore.
There were some elders and people in the palace who passed next to them. They looked at them amusedly and seemed entertained
