MOVING ON

1104 Words

Two years later, Everything that happened on a dreadful day remained fresh on both the memories of Elisha and Alik… As for Alik...   As if it just happened a moment ago, his heart seemed to be shattered into a thousand pieces... Or maybe his heart was hollow, non-existent, empty, or blank? Was it a blank space?  If it was just a blank space... How come there was too much pain? The kind that makes him scream on the inside...   Alik sat on his office chair, drinking brandy at 11 in the evening.  Yes, it was that late, yet he was still in the office alone and drinking himself into a stupor. He hated going home because the entire place reminded him of her. He was considering transferring to their mansion in the meantime, but he always changed his mind every time he was ready to move.
