My mind woke up before my body did. I lay there for a while, not wanting to get up. Everything that just happened is still fresh in my mind.
Breaking into Hell to find Kasyn. Finding Kasyn. Getting my heart crushed. Then going back home to see that we were under attack.
I remember everything in great detail. Like my own mind knows that I don't deserve even a small break from reality. I even vividly remember my mother dying in front of my eyes.
What am I going to do now? Will I have to take over the school? Who else would do it?
And all those bodies... I'm going to have to figure out how to take care of them. We'll have to have a funeral for our own dead, and...
I'm going to have to tell my younger siblings that... That our mom is dead. We're... orphans.
