Connor’s POV She lied, that’s all that keeps going around and around in my head as I drive us all back to the apartment we share. The cab of my truck is thick with tension, and I can feel every time Wynter’s eyes land on me as she continuously glances my way as I drive. Out of the corner of my eye, I even catch the movement as her lips part a few times, almost as though she’s going to say something before she changes her mind again, and snaps them closed, her gaze once again falling to her lap and the fingers that are laced together there.
