That kind of grin can’t be faked.
I watch as Gage proudly tells Max about our baby girl, and it tugs at my heartstrings. He is so different from what I thought he would be.
When I lived with Hendrix, I would hear of Gage from others. The rumors were that he was heartless and ruthless. A typical Alpha, but even though he does have some qualities of a typical Alpha, there is so much more to him.
It scares me how strongly I feel about him but at this moment, I want to enjoy this sight.
We are in Gage’s office. He sits on his desk and I lazily lean on the sofa.
“Congratulations.” Max says with a big smile.
He doesn’t smile often so we all know this is genuine.
