Megan's POV
I put away my phone and looked at the people standing before me. Everybody is looking at me expectantly. I hope the representative of the Casala family can sort out this mess and tell them who I am, but I don't know if he will know me because very few people know me in America. I've always kept my identity secret here because I didn't want anybody to know who I was. I didn't want Tony to know who I was. I wanted him to love me for me and not my money or my family. I wanted to see if he was trustworthy.
Boy, I must judge myself with him. I am glad I have not signed a contract with him yet. I have to stop everything.
“I left my uncle a voicemail. I hope he finds it in time because I will not allow that contract to be signed today. After everything I have done for you, you turned your back on me. You are ungrateful. You do not deserve this contract because I was the one who initiated it.” I say. Sienna breaks out laughing.
"If I were Sienna, I would not laugh. Look at her dress, one of a kind, by a famous designer." One of the ladies at the party says.
"Not to mention the jewellery. It looks super expensive. She looks like a lady of a very influential family." Someone else says. I know Sienna must have heard them.
“I told you she was bluffing. She does not know Dante Casello. She is jealous because I am the one who initiated everything. The poor thing is so in love with you. She is trying to steal my limelight. Oh my goodness, you are such a fool. Did you believe that everybody would believe you, Megan? Your fake dress and fake jewellery are nothing. But look at my beautiful dress. Tony bought it for me. Don’t you think it is lovely and original? Unlike your fake dress. My jewellery is also authentic. Why don't you leave before my father, Don Sala, shows up?” Sienna says.
I smile. It’s only Sienna who will be so stupid. She keeps insulting me, not knowing she is putting herself and her family in danger.
“Why should I be afraid of Don Sala? You have no idea who you are playing with.” I say.
“Well, Megan, you can keep the ring on your finger. It’s not worth much anyway, just like you. Guards remove Megan. Sienna, my love, will you marry me?” Tony asks, getting on one knee and taking Sienna’s hand. The diamond ring in his hand is much bigger than the one on my finger.
My heart is breaking into a thousand pieces. I wonder how much money I sent him was spent on Sienna.
“Yes! I will marry you, Tony, my love,” Sienna says.
“I don’t want your cheap ring. You can have it back.” I say, throwing Tony’s ring at his feet.
“Oh, are you still here? You have no shame!” Arrabella Morelli shouts.
With everything that happened, I forgot about my gifts for Tony. As the guards grab me, someone announces a gift has arrived for Mr Morelli. It is outside. Everyone goes outside, and I demand that the guards leave her alone. The guards let go of me as everyone stared at the yellow Lamborghini being unloaded. It is the newest model, and everybody loves it.
Tony looked surprised at Sienna.
“Did you buy this for me?” He asks.
Sienna is as surprised as Tony, but she nods. She doesn’t know who bought him the car. I smile bitterly.
"Where is the key? I want to hand it to my fiancé." Sienna says.
“Hahaha. That car works with a fingerprint. Only the vehicle's owner can unlock it. You should have known about it if you bought it, Sienna.” I laugh. The guards grab me again.
“Of course, I know it works with a fingerprint. It is your car, my love. Your fingerprint should unlock it.” Sienna says.
Tony walks to the car and looks inside. He is so excited. He sees the Rolex strapped to the steering wheel. It is a special edition Rolex that costs a lot of money.
I laugh. I know Tony’s fingerprint will not unlock the car. Only my fingerprint can unlock the vehicle.
“What are you laughing about, b***h? Push her to her knees on the ground and make her kneel in front of Sienna!” Arrabella orders the guards.
Tony turns away from the car, and everyone’s eyes are now on me. The guards, unaware of who I am, push me to my knees.
“Don’t you know you are playing with your lives? I will forgive the guards because they do not know who I am, but none of you will be spared when my uncle’s representative arrives.” I say, hoping it is someone who knows who I am. Perhaps it was not a good idea to keep my identity secret from everyone. The manager of the Johnson Hotel knows who I am, but he is not here at the moment. I can only prove who I am if the representative knows me. I can prove who I am if I can unlock the car.
Don Sala walks over. He looks at me on my knees before his daughter.
“Who are you, and what are you doing at my daughter’s engagement? Do you not know who I am? My men tell me you have insulted my daughter all night.” Don Sala says as he hits me in the face. I get up from my knees, and I am ready to kill all of them! Who are they to try to hit me? I am the daughter of the godfather! I am prepared to pull my gun out and start shooting!
“What the hell is going on here?” A deep voice asks from behind me. I turn around.
My face is red where the Don slapped me, and blood is dripping from the corner of my mouth. Dammit, I hope this is not my uncle’s representative, as I do not know the tall, handsome guy standing behind me with the contract in his hands.
