A fast wedding.

Megan's POV What the hell just happened in there? I do not understand what is going on. Why does nobody believe me? They are playing with their own lives. I cannot blame the young Don Enrico Falco. He does not know who I am. I do not understand why my uncle sent somebody who does not know me. Perhaps Tony should think I am not who I said I am. If he finds out that I am genuinely Megan Pistone and that my father is the Godfather of the Italian Mafia, he will try to get me back. I do not want him in my life anymore, although my heart is broken, and I wasted seven years of my life. I feel sad. I'd not only lost my fiancé but also my friend. I can't believe that I trusted the wrong people. I am usually good at judging people. I was blinded by love. That is all I can think of. I am not making excuses for myself. I should have seen through that man. I have lost all respect for Tony. I am so lost in thought that I hardly hear the car door open and Don Falco getting in. "Okay, Miss, I am back. I don't know why they hit you, and I disapprove of it. However, I hope you have learned your lesson. Do not run after a man who doesn't want you. I will ensure that Don Sala pays for what he did to you." Enrico says. I look at him, amused, so he thinks I ran after Tony. In a sense, I did. I was stupid in the past. I gave all my money and time to Tony, and all he did was cheat on me and leave me as soon as he thought that he got a better woman with more money. Perhaps I should play along and not tell Enrico who I am. He did not believe me the first time. Possibly, my uncle told him that I was engaged to Tony, so maybe he thinks Sienna is me. She is Tony’s fiancée. I will play along for a while and see what happens. "You are right. I should not have made a fool of myself." I say. Enrico looks at my face and tells one of his men to hand him the first aid kit. He carefully tends to my injuries and works softly with me. As he is tending to my wounds from the slap, he looks at my knees and puts some ointment on them as well. He is very gentle, and I look at his handsome face, which is so close to mine. "Here is the deal. You know who the Italian Mafia's Godfather is. That is why you use this surname and his daughter's name. He will punish you with death if he finds out that you have impersonated his daughter. I will forget about it if you are willing to marry me. Hear me out before you say no. I am not interested in you. I only want a contract marriage because my mother is trying to marry me to my best friend. Mia and I grew up together, and she declared her love to me. But I am not interested in her. I do not want to marry her, but I need a bride to take home so that my grandmother and Mia can back off. If you are willing to do that, we can get married now. You don't have to worry about anything. I will pay you to be my wife. The longer we are married, the more I will pay you." Enrico says. I want to burst out laughing. I am much wealthier than him, but I will not tell him. I am finding this little game very interesting. "Okay, I agreed to marry you, but please do not tell me… I mean the Godfather, what did I do?" I say. I might as well marry him and say marriage to him for a few months. It will keep Tony away from me when he finds out the truth. And he will find out the truth tonight because the manager will ask where I am. And he is from is not going to unlock the yellow Lamborghini. I will have to remind myself to go and fetch it later. Besides, if I want to get married to Enrico, we better do it now before he finds out who I am. I cannot wait to see his face when he realises that he blackmailed the Godfather's daughter into marrying him. "Of course, I will not tell the Godfather what you did. But we must get married now because my mother and Mia are planning a big wedding. Give me a few seconds. I need to call Don Casella and tell him we did not sign the contract." Enrico says. Damn, this might spoil my identity. He calls my uncle, but luckily, my uncle does not answer. He left him a voicemail saying that the contract had not been signed. My uncle must have gotten my message and cancelled the contract. I am so happy it happened. I am so glad Tony is not getting the billion-dollar contract from the Casella family. I was worried that my uncle got my message too late. Oh, Tony, you made the biggest mistake of your life. Enrico makes another call, and I hear him arrange for a wedding license and then one to a priest. So this is it. I'm getting married tonight to a man that I don't know. Oh, boy, it will be exciting when he sees my passport after we sign the wedding certificate. I smile sweetly at him. "I am pretty impressed with you. You have a lot of contacts. Are you not afraid your mother will make you marry Mia anyway after we get a divorce?" I ask. "My driver and best friend, Mario, are in love with Mia. It will allow him to win her heart." Enrico says. Enrico is not very talkative. Maybe he does not like me. I don't care. I'm going to be his wife in a few seconds. Meghan Falco is better than Megan Morelli. I wish to be a fly on the wall and see Tony's face when he realises who I am. At least I can see Enrico's face after we get married. Luckily, we only signed the marriage certificate after the marriage. Enrico and I walk into the civil office. Somebody is waiting for us to give us the marriage license. The priest sent a civil clerk to wait for us to get married. Enrico filled out his marriage license details and handed the form to me so I could fill out my part. He has already signed and has lost interest in the paperwork. So I give the clerk my passport. The ceremony starts. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, skip the whole thing. I do." Enrico says. "I do." I say. "Well, then, I guess you may kiss your bride." The priest says. The clerk nods, and the driver and a bodyguard sign as witnesses. Enrico signs. I can see he is not even reading what he is signing. He grabs the paper and my passport and walks out. "I do not even know your name." Enrico says as he opens my passport. I smile when I see the blood drain from his face. "I told you I am Megan Pistone, but you didn't want to believe me. Oh well, it doesn't matter now. I'm now Megan Falco. You will have to call my father and explain that we are married. I don't want to do it. After all, he will be angry because he didn't get the opportunity to walk me down the aisle." I say. God, I'm curious to see the look on his face when he realizes who I really am. That's got to be interesting.
