Sunflower: Chapter Ten

Nora: I want to talk. I'm sorry I  overreacted about you and my father, your my best friend 

Kenny: Okay let's talk

I shouldn't have judged but I still wanted to talk to her about what was going on and be there for her no matter what because she's my best friend. I stole my milkshake back from Ava, I went back in to order some fries. When I got back Ava was on the phone with someone and she sounded so happy with something. She showed me that she got paid. She said that she gets paid a thousand dollars a week. I was concerned about how she got this money and how she was getting paid a week.

'We're going out tonight, I also have enough money to get me an apartment' She said 

'Where did you get it from' I asked 

She looked at me like I shouldn't have asked her that, she smiled and then went up, she said she was going to forty-second street. She still didn't answer my question about where she was getting her money from. I got my fries and got ready to walk to the train. When we got to the subway, there was a man who I think was jerking off under his coat while looking at us. Ava waved at him, did she not notice the guy was jerking off. I gave Ava and looked to put her hand down. 

‘What he’s nice, he staring at us and smiling’ She said 

‘Ava, he’s jerking off under his coat’ I said 

We got up and went to the next car. The guy yelled from the car, what her hair smelled like. It made me question if this had to do with Ava’s money thing. She asked me questions even though I knew my girlfriend. When Ava fell asleep I checked her phone. There was this bookmark on her phone called Stripchat. What the f**k is this, I put the phone back in her pocket and acted like I saw nothing. I woke her up and got off the train.

‘Where did you get that money Ava’ I said 

‘I review books’ She lied 

She was lying to me. We went our separate ways and I caught up with Kenny. She was already at central park. She had ice cream in her hand and fed the birds.

‘How sunflower’ Kenny said 

‘She a cam girl and she lying to me now’ I said

‘Wow sunflower has turn into a spiky rose’ Kenny said 

I’m not even mad at her at the fact that she is a cam girl, it's the fact that she is lying to me. She can’t even have the right to tell me to my face that she is doing it for my money and for a place to live.But why lie beside the fact that she is ashamed that she does this. She doesn’t have to be, Kenny was going on and on about her wedding to my dad and I wasn’t hearing anyof it. Then I realized why I was here was to help a friend and not worry about myself. 

‘Kenny, you 're being groomed and I will be here to help you and be supposed’ I said 

‘I’ve been your friend for a while and I know when you're talking crazy, dealing with Ava has made you stress i’m not being groomed’ She said 

I tried to talk her into talking to her parents about all this. She explained that her parents think this is a bad idea and they support the wedding at all. This is the first time I agree with Kenny’s parents. Kenny was going on and on about how she was going to be wearing this dress with pink lace flowers and cream colored heels. What the hell I can’t act like tho is okay my dad someone who saw Kenny grow up is now going to be her husband and my stepmother it doesn’t feel right.

‘Nora, I want you there at my wedding please’ she begged 

‘I’m sorry but I support you in a lot of stuff but I can't sit back and let this happen,’ I said 

Ava was texting me about what she was doing and she asked me If I was coming over. I was still dealing with Kenny to actually figure anything out. I'm worried about her and I didn’t know what to do. I looked up an article about grooming to see if I can find the caricaturists of what it might be from wikipedia. I know it not a fact check source the wikipedia pages said and I quote

I showed her this and she still saw nothing wrong with her relationship. I knew I wasn’t getting through to her and left her to her wedding planning but I wasn’t giving up on Kenny. I care for her and I don’t want to see her hurt by this. Ava texted me back.

Ava: Can we talk

Nora: Yeah what’s going on 

Ava: I need you to meet me 

She sent me an dress and then I was on my way. I told her I will be there in a few and got back on the train. I was going to take a car from forty -second to central park like I did earlier but it's too expensive and it takes time away. I was on the train thinking about how the day could be so stressful and hoped that when I got to Ava, she would tell me the truth. I sat on the train thinking about anything that would calm in my case. I thought about the sea and the waves washing against the shore. I was thinking about going to the beach but it was the fall in New York so that was a no. I kept focusing on my breathing and then I missed my stop. I would have to get off and get back on at the next stop. I got off and went to the other side and waited for that train while listening to the waves. When the next train came, I didn’t even bother to sit down. I could feel eyes on me and I didn’t know why, but they were on me. I rushed off the train and there was Ava, waiting.

‘How things go with Kenny’ She still wanted to marry my father,’ I replied 

She changed her clothes; she was also wearing a new bra. Ava walked ahead of me and I went to check her cam girl website. She was showing off her new bras from victoria secret. I showed her the phone and then asked what was this.

‘Brooklyn coming to New York Nexts week and were going to move in together’ She said ‘Raya moving in also so have to find a three bedroom house, but can you help us move in’ 

So it would be Ava, Raya, Brooklyn moving in but when there Brooklyn there Nina and I know somehow she going to be apart of this somehow
