I gasped for air as I felt myself being pulled back to reality, back to my body. My body was shaking, and I could feel I was getting feverish. I tried shaking the feeling away but it didn’t do much beside making me dizzy. I sighed and got up to write a letter to everyone I wanted to say goodbye to. The guards had brought me paper and ink to write on a worn-out, wooden desk and I was now sitting in an old chair as I wrote. First, I wrote to my parents what I felt, what had happened, including an apology. I knew they were going to blame themselves no matter what I said, I was still their daughter.
