Gabby gasped, and I took over before our mate's blood could hit the floor. Growling, I lunged at the Siren King, tackling him to the floor. I roared in pain when something sharp pierced my belly.
"If I can't have you, then no one can," he screamed before I locked my jaw around his neck. His voice died out as my teeth tore at his flesh and his blood filled my mouth, mixing with my own.
He gargled as he struggled against my hold and pushed against my weight as I crushed him. It didn't matter if I died, only that my family and mate were safe.
When I heard my mother scream, I released the magic shaped like arrows to hit the remaining enemy who dared to hurt my family.
With his last strength, he twisted the knife, and I groaned through the pain as I shook my head.
