Queen Ashlyn Feeling overwhelmed, I left the newly mated couple to party and went to the kitchen. Exhaling sharply, I leaned against the counter. Glancing at the door to the sunroof, memories of that morning flashed through my mind like a bad movie. Tears filled my eyes, and my chest became tight. No matter how many times I said I was okay, I wasn't. I don't think I ever will be. "There you are!" Sage exclaimed, entering the kitchen. I jumped, quickly swiping away at my cheeks. She opened the fridge door. "Liam can be a pain, but f**k is he funny," she giggled. "Yeah, Liam is great," I sniffed. "Hey, what's wrong?" she asked, grabbing my arm. I refused to look at her. "I'm fine." The lie rolled easily off my tongue. "You do not sound fine, babe," she tugged, forcing me to face her.
