I can feel my heart beating out of my chest as I attempt to keep up with Dimitri. I'm practically running after him and he is merely walking. I feel he has the advantage though, with his long legs taking two steps in one bound. I don't think he has realized that I am still behind him. I want to support him whether he thinks he needs it or not.
We rounded the corner, finally making it to the throne room. Dimitri doesn't bother with letting the guard announce that we are here, he simply walks past him barreling into the doors. The king was standing at the end of the room with what looked like an important councilman. If they are all here, then that probably isn't a good thing.
"Dimitri, my boy. It's about time! Come, we are discussing battle strategies. I would love your input."
