Chapter 9 - A new room ...

The buses filled up, and the pack got ready to leave. Many of the stalls had emptied, and lights were being switched off. The early morning scent floated slowly into the air. Tired but happy, the pack left for home. Nobody would be up early to prepare breakfast today. There would be no early morning training for warriors. It was a beautiful sunrise when they reached the pack house and happiness flowed through the air. Parents were excited that their children had met mates. New mates were excited to be part of the pack. It was the beginning of new life with the breaking of a new day. TREVOR OPENED THE LIMO door for Isobel while Radagast climbed onto the other side. Isobel took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and tried to calm her nerves. Radagast held her hand and she opened her eyes, looking up into his. “Ready to go home?” He smiled. “Home?” She looked confused for a second, then smiled. “Yes.” They drove in the opposite direction from the pack house. Radagast didn’t let go of her hand. “What would you like to do first when we reach home?” He sounded slightly nervous for the first time, and that strangely put her at ease a little. “I’m not sure. What would you like to do?” Isobel wasn’t sure what the witches did daily. Pack life had to be different. “Maybe you want to rest? It has been a long evening?” He looked worried, but she was relieved. “Yes, I think that would be a good idea.” She smiled, realizing that she was very tired when a yawn escaped. Radagast couldn’t help laughing, which made her laugh. “Here, put your head on my shoulder. We have a way to go before we reach the castle. Rest. I will wake you when we get there.” He put his arms around her, letting her rest on his shoulder. She melted into his embrace, feeling that it was right. That was where she belonged. Her nervousness disappeared. He was her mate. She belonged there. The electric current flowed through him when she put her head down on his shoulder, making him feel strong but protective over her. Realizing that it was not just about “owning a set”. She was his mate. They reached the castle, and she looked like an angel sleeping. He didn’t want to wake her as he pulled her softly into his lap. Radagast carried her bridal style into the castle and to her room. Using his imagination of what he had seen tonight, he changed the colour of the room to look bright and happy. He did not want her to wake up in the gloom in the morning and run for the hills. He chose the same colour as her dress for the main theme and mixed in lighter and darker shades. Adding a soft pillow or two to make it look a little more welcoming. He didn’t know what kind of nightdress she would like and took a chance at conjuring a long silk dress with slits on the sides to make it more comfortable. Thin straps over her shoulders and a lace inlay over her breasts covering the top rounding of her full beautiful bre@sts. Her slow, calm breathing showed her beauty and was starting to make it difficult to remain a gentleman. He changed the color of the nightdress from ocean blue to pink, but instantly realized that she was not a pink girl. He changed it to dark blue and was happy with that. Looking around the room to make sure he was happy that everything would be to her liking. He opened the box and hung her new dress in front of the antique cupboard. He took one last look at her perfect body before he had to force himself to leave the room. “MY LITTLE GIRL didn’t come home with us!” Frank growled when they arrived home. “She is not a little girl anymore, Frank, none of them are. Besides, what happened to getting them all hitched and out of our house, hmm?” Melissa laughed at Frank. “I know, I know. I just didn’t think it would be …” Frank waved a frustrated hand through the air as if to dismiss Melissa. “So sad to have them leave?” She laughed as she finished his sentence for him. “Yes, that.” He sighed. “My poor wolf. She isn’t gone, you know? She has just found her love like you and I did.” Melissa’s laughter dies down as she pulls him into her arms to comfort him. “I know … but …” Frank pouted. “No buts! Now are you going to join me for coffee on the porch or not?” Coffee on the porch after the festival had become their ritual. They spent the morning after the first festival on the same porch swing talking for hours about everything. Now it had become a tradition. “Why didn’t Circe meet her mate before Isobel?” Melissa frowned once they were seated. “It is not an exact science my love. She might not have a mate, but she will be able to choose her mate. And if he then accepts, they will live happily ever after. It is all up to the moon goddess and what she decides.” Frank shrugged. “Sometimes, husband, I don’t understand your wolf traditions. If a witch doesn’t meet their mate, they are destined to be single. Part of a coven but not with a mate. There is no such thing as choosing one. It is unheard of!” Melissa exclaimed. THE SUN WAS SHINING brightly through the soft blue curtains. Isobel opened her eyes, stretched, then suddenly wondered where she was. She jumped out of bed, realizing she was in a strange room, dressed in a nightdress she couldn’t remember putting on. A soft knock on the door made her jump with fright. “Come in.” She asked more than saying. “Morning miss. Master Radagast said to check if you are awake yet and to make sure you have everything you need before breakfast.” The young girl curtsied quickly. “Oh, uhm, sorry, I just woke up, and I am not sure yet. Please, please come in.” Isobel finally remembered where she was, but was still not sure how she got into the dress. She checked the dressing table to see if she had everything. “Master said that he didn’t know what you might need?” The girl sounded a little panicked. “Oh, that is no problem.” Isobel smiled, waving over the table, and all of her cosmetics appeared. The young girl showed her where the bathroom was, once again not sure if Isobel preferred her things, which she did and conjured. “Your new dress is in your room miss. Master said he would meet you outside your room in an hour to show you to the dining room if that was okay.” The young girl didn’t look impressed. “Please tell him that is perfect, thank you.” Feeling overwhelmed by all the miss and master and the enormous room and bathroom, Isobel still wondered how she got into the nightdress. Precisely an hour later there was a discreet knock on her door. She opened her door to a brightly smiling Radagast. “Good morning, Isobel and Mheegan. Ready for breakfast?”
