“Yes father, very much. He is my mate and with wolf tradition...” She didn’t even dare say it for fear of Radagast finding out if he didn’t already know.
“If Isobel and Mheegan agree, it is fine with us Radagast.” Frank growled slightly, making Melissa put her hand on his arm.
“Isobel, how will you get clean clothes?” Melissa always thought of everything. That was what made her such a good mom.
“Not to worry Luna, I will make sure she has something for tomorrow. We will buy something before we leave here tonight.” Radagast smiled proudly, which did not impress Frank.
“Okay well, then I guess have fun you two.” Melissa winked at Isobel. Isobel kissed both parents on the cheek before Radagast slid his arm around her waist protectively. They left the tent in search of a dress for her. She walked with him in shock that her parents let her go with a total stranger that easily.
“Isobel! I hear you found... Oh, hi.” Willow looked impressed as they walked up to Isobel and Radagast.
“Willow, calm down. Hi Tabatha.” She smiled up at Radagast, blushing. “I am sorry. These are my twin sisters, Willow and Tabatha, who so very rudely interrupted our walk.” She pulled big eyes while talking to them, gritting her teeth.
“Sorry Is, we are just so excited for you! Mom says you met your mate …” Tabatha was completely out of breath with excitement.
“Yes, girls. This is Radagast.” Isobel introduces the man beside her.
“Oh, hi.” They said in unison. Only then do the twins take in the scene in front of them with his arm around her waist and the fact that he is still standing there, not moving past them.
“OOOOHHHHH.” Tabatha finally realized. “So, so sorry, Radagast. Isobel. We will be on our way now.” Grabbing Willow by her ponytail, she dragged her away, almost kicking and screaming shushing her. Thinking they were out of earshot, she explained to Willow who was still trying to get out of her grip and get back to Isobel.
It made Isobel giggle when she heard the discussion. They didn’t move far enough away.
“May I ask what is so funny?” Radagast looked concerned.
“My apologies Radagast. That’s the twins. They think they moved far enough away for me not to hear them. Tabatha is explaining to Willow that you are my mate and Willow’s reaction when she realized was very funny.” Isobel giggled.
“It must be extraordinary to have hearing like yours? To have any of your senses for that matter.” Radagast smiled, warming Isobel’s heart.
“One would think so, but there are times I wish I was the one born a pure witch.” Isobel sighed deeply as they started to walk again.
“What do you mean?” Radagast looked intrigued.
“Willow was born a pure witch. She is not a hybrid like the rest of us.” Isobel shrugged, wondering only for a second why Willow wasn’t Radagast’s destined mate.
“But her twin is a hybrid? How is that possible, especially with the rest of you being hybrids?” Radagast looked just as confused as Isobel sometimes felt.
“Nobody knows. Mom believes it is the way the moon goddess meant for it to be, so nobody ever really paid any attention to it. I just wish it was me.” Isobel pushes all her other thoughts to the back of her mind. She doesn’t want to think like that anyway.
“What! You would wish me away?!” Mheegan screams inside her head, making her flinch.
“Isobel? Are you okay?” Radagast stops walking and turns to Isobel.
“Yes.” She was clearly in pain.
“Isobel, let her out, please. I will have to get to know her as well.” Radagast took Isobel’s face in his hands and his eyes were so kind that she could literally feel the kindness warm her heart.
“Are you sure? She can be very rude.” Isobel wasn’t sure.
“Please.” He pleads.
“So, you are our mate?” Mheegan jumped in immediately. “The one making us wish we were a mere witch!” Mheegan softly growled.
“I am Radagast, your mate, yes. May I ask your name?” He smiled, looking as if he wasn’t even bothered by her rudeness.
“Mheegan, daughter of the Alpha of the Lunar pack.” Mheegan nodded proudly.
“Pleased to meet you Mheegan. Is there anything you would like to talk about? We need to find you some clothes still, and we have more than enough time to get to know each other.” A growl escaped as Mheegan pulled out of his embrace.
“Yes, why are you being so nice to us, huh? Your clan has a reputation for not liking wolves! I will not let go of Isobel for your coven!” Mheegan didn’t budge from where she was standing.
“I would never ask you to do such a thing! You are part of what makes you, you! You and Isobel are one, aren’t you? I will also not allow anyone in my coven to harm you, ever. They must respect the moon goddess’s choice, or I will call on her to judge whoever does not agree with her pairing.” Radagast looked sincere but Mheegan looked at him suspiciously, trying to assess if what he said was true.
She gave control back to Isobel so she could think about it.
“It’s me, Isobel.” Isobel blushed, getting ready to apologize for Mheegan’s behaviour.
“Hi, did we convince her?” Radagast looked worried.
“I don’t know, she is quiet. We will just have to leave her to think about it. You must understand that she is very protective of me and I of her.” Isobel shrugged, not entirely sure what to do next.
“I do, you do not have to worry about that.” He smiled, kissing her cheek. Noticing her eyes caught sight of an ocean-blue dress, he nodded at the stall attendant to bring it closer.
“Oh, no. Radagast, this is too much.” Isobel gasped as they walked closer.
“Nothing is too much for you, Isobel. What is mine is yours.” He gave the attendant another nod to wrap up the dress and Trevor made the payment while they walked on.
“Radagast, don’t think me ungrateful, but I looked at that dress earlier and it is incredibly expensive. I can’t afford to pay you back!” Isobel finally said when she couldn’t hold it in anymore.
“I don’t want you to. Even if we decide not to stay together Isobel. It is my gift to you. Please accept it.” Radagast insisted, and she had no other choice. It really was a beautiful dress.
“Thank you.” She blushed blood-red.
“You will also need shoes, night clothes ... please, whatever you need.” Radagast waved his arm through the air as if he was ready to give her the world.
“Please, the dress is already more than enough. Thank you. I can conjure anything else I will require.” She smiled.
“If that is your wish. Would you like something to eat or drink before we leave?” Radagast really wanted to get her home, but he didn’t want her to feel rushed.
“No, thank you.” She laughed. “You have treated me so well tonight that I might not have to eat for a week.”
“You have such a beautiful laugh.” He looked amazed. She was truly intoxicating. With one of the sisters making him feel so amazing, how would it feel to have all of them around him? Her smile, her energy...
