Madeline POV Leaving my bathroom towel drying my freshly washed hair, I heard a knock on my bedroom door. “It’s open!” I shout as I stride towards it. Alina enters gingerly and gives me a warm smile. She walks over to my bed and sits at the edge as her grin grows. “What? Do you know something I don’t? Did the vampire confess to not being Arius’ warrior? Did Logan speak to Arius?” All my questions came barrelling out all at once and Alina chuckled. My hair no longer interested me so I threw the towel over the door and faced her. “Yes he confessed. It seems your mate managed to persuade Logan that he had nothing to do with attack,” Alina said with a toothy grin and my heart flipped in my chest. I let out a long sigh of relief as all the anxiety I had been feeling for hours flowed out
