“Do you think they suspected Summer’s presence here?” I asked Walter while standing up slowly with his help.
He sighed while holding me tightly by my arm and torso. “I don’t think so, Adam. He has been searching for her secretly ever since he woke up after that night. I really don’t understand what exactly he wants to do. He rejected her, left her to die, and yet searching for her so desperately, as if she is his whole world.”
I smiled while glancing at him when his tone got bitter with every word coming out of his mouth.
To be honest, I was also trying to understand why Nathan was so adamant about finding Summer.
Walter put me on the bed and helped me get covered.
