"Where's Bran?" I manage to squeak the moment my breathing stabilizes.
"Driving. We're heading over there."
"Where do you think his body could be, Meg? This whole thing literally makes no sense. "
"I have no idea. The ambulance went to get his body and it was nowhere to be found. The attendant insisted that no one by that name was ever booked in there.'"
"I'm going to find Jesse."
"You do that. We are almost there."
