Chapter 40
I wake up to an unfamiliar room and narrow my eyes in confusion as I look around. Then I catch a whiff of a familiar scent and everything comes back to me. I turn over to face Ryder who's still sleeping. He looks so handsome with the shadow of stubble across his jawline and chin. I want to touch him, but I know Ryder and the second I do, he'll try and get me naked.
Not something I want to do with all of his family around.
I quietly get up out of the bed and check my reflection in the mirror. I run my fingers through my tangled hair and wipe the remnants of yesterday's makeup away from my eyes. I open the bedroom door and peek out, but it doesn't sound like anyone else is up yet. I tip-toe down the hallway looking for the bathroom, but all of the doors are closed.
