Chapter 31
Ryder
The sun is just starting to come up, allowing just a little bit of light to come trickling through the window blinds. I'm normally a late sleeper, but I've been wide awake for the past couple of hours. Sleep is a commodity lately and while my body is tired, I can't get my mind to slow down.
Courtney and I have been making it a point to spend more time together, but the closer I get to her the more I worry about losing her. I know I shouldn't think that way, but it's hard not to. She's all I've ever wanted, but I don't deserve her. I'm so afraid that she'll come to her senses at any moment and realize what a huge mistake she's made. She's given me no reason to doubt her, but I can't for the life of me figure out why she loves me so much.
I'm just glad she does.
