I placed the last picture, which was of Valentine and I, on the wall of my new office and stepped back smiling. I had never been the kind of person who had pictures of loved ones or memories to treasure before all this. But now, it seemed, I had too many to choose from. The wall itself looked like a shrine or collage of faces. Faces of everyone I loved. My parents. My friends. The Romanos. Stanley and Archer. And of course, Raiden.
