Dale’s POV
I feel weird. Like my body isn’t really there, if you know what I mean. I’m hearing voices and feeling people in the room but I have no idea who they are or what they are doing. I kind of feel like I am sleeping but I don’t want to wake up.
Behind my eyelids I can see some light but then the darkness comes. It goes on like that for what feels like days until I actually open my eyes and the bright light make some squint and groan.
Shuffling of feet and my mums face appears before me. She looks like hell, her hair is dull and her eyes puffy and red, clearly she has been crying, but why?
“Oh my god, you are awake. My boy. let me get the doctor, don’t move” she sobs rushing from the room.
