Louise POV
"Come on, dance with us!" My friend's shouting is making me deaf. Damn, why did I agree to come here again? The minute my plane arrived, they dragged me here. I look around, this isn't my type of crowd.
Fuck, my headache's killing me. I'm still jet lag, I should have insisted on going home with my luggage. Or I should have gone to Axel first.
My brow form a scowl, why the hell do I keep thinking about him? I sigh, I can't possibly go to his house. Knowing Axel, he always has women surrounding him, and I'm sure that he's not alone right now.
"Damn it!" I slam the glass on my table. My friend looks at me.
"Are you okay?" Julie asks me. "If you didn't want to come, you should have insisted on it."
"Looks like they dragged you here too, Juls?" I ask Julie. She's one of my friends in college. A certified nerd, with the big glasses and the perfect 4.0 GPA.
"Yes, I was just sleeping at home. When I woke up, I'm already in the car! I have classes tomorrow," Julie says to me. She looks like she's going to pass out on the table. I bet she has drunk a few glasses.
"Ugh, Stella always has her way," I look around and finds my other friend dancing in the middle of the dance floor. She's the center of attention. She always needs to be.
"Nah," Julie shrugs her shoulders. "I heard it was Rhea who carried me."
"Damn! How can she be so strong?" I grimace as I remember Rhea's petite body. I don't have any explanation about how she can do it. Supernatural strength?
We grow silent as we contemplate on it. The music still blaring in the background. I look around again, hoping to find another familiar face. Maybe I'll see Axel.
But this isn't his usual hangout place and what will I do if he's here? He didn't know that I'm back in the country this time since I didn't tell him.
Well, I don't have to tell him. He doesn't ask me for my whereabouts when I come to the country or when I'm out. Most of the time, I'm traveling.
In short, he seems he doesn't care.
I clench my glass and gulp all the alcohol in it. Julie stares at me, horrified.
"I thought you don't want to come? Why are you getting wasted now?" Julie asks me. I drink another full glass. "You're crazy!"
"I've been crazy since I was a kid," I say to her, and I stand up. I take off my jacket, and I'm only left with my sexy halter top. I paired it with tight-fitting jeans, and I'm wearing military boots. It doesn't look sexy, but it's badass to me.
I'm not into heels.
"Don't leave me here!" Julie tries to call me, but I only wave her off. I'm a bit tipsy, but I'm still fine. I let down my hair, throwing my ponytail. Tonight, I'm going to dance the night away.
People look my way...wanting to get close to me. My lips curve...men and women alike, always scramble before me. No joke, I grew up f*****g beautiful.
Sadly, my fiance doesn't know of it. I clench my hands, feeling the anger every time I think of Axel Hunter! The retard! Hmph!
One of these days... he'll see.
"Yes! You're finally here to party," Stella shouts at me. I look around for Rhea, and she's in a liplock with some blonde man. I nod my head at Stella and begin dancing.
"This is my favorite music!" I shout so that she can hear me. I sway my hips in time to it, shaking my booty. My hands travel to my hair and downwards.
I cup my breasts and caress down to my waist, I feel freaking good about myself. I'm proud of myself. I'm one of the people who love to take the hard way to maintain my body.
I whip my hair to the side as I continue to dance, Stella went off to dance with some other man. As for me, no man. I don't want to tangle with anyone. I can make myself happy without one.
But they're surrounding me. They're looking at me like I'm prey. If they make a wrong move, well, their balls are going to get it from me.
"Miss, dance with me," one of them can't take it anymore he approaches me. I turn my back to him and move away. His friends snicker at him.
I don't want to deal with a self-satisfied man like that. I've had so many dealings with pretending-to-be-cool men.
I dance away from that group of men, but he's like gum sticking to me.
"Miss, I'm telling you to dance with me!" He faces me now. Honestly, he doesn't look bad. Actually, he's very good-looking, but he's not my type. And I don't like the way he talks to me.
"Go away," I snap at him. I have met men like him. I continue to dance, ignoring him until he grabs my shoulders and turns me to him.
I gasp when his fingers dig on my skin.
"Let me go!" I snarl at him. If he doesn't let me go...
"You're going to dance with me! Don't you f*****g embarrassed me!" The man shouts at me, his hand holding me tighter.
I glare at him and grab his hand, I throw him over my shoulder. I don't take s**t from anybody!
"f**k!" The man shouts loudly and starts wailing like a pig. "My butt! My back!"
I step on his fingers that he touched me with. My boots are really thick so when I step on it, damn, I can hear satisfying cracking sounds. The music had stopped when I threw him over my shoulder, that's why it's obvious.
"s**t, boss!" Multiple men surround him.
Shit, this doesn't look good.
"Beat that woman for me! Beat her good!" The man shouts. "I'm a senator's son...you're going to get it!"
The men run to my direction, intending to capture me. f**k, f**k, f**k! I ready myself to fight, well, I don't run away from a fight even if it's a losing one. Its Archer's motto!
Suddenly, out of the blue, a man grabs me and places me behind him. Then, points a gun to the oncoming men. I can hear the click of the safety. My heart jumps in nervousness. My eyes widen as I stare at the man's back.
"One step closer, and you'll be picking up your guts all over the floor. That is... if you're still alive by then," the man says to them. Awesome!
I try to see him. s**t, I can't see my savior's face. He's too tall for me!
Then, I hear the sound of police sirens.
The senator's son laughs loudly.
"Serves you right! Good luck in jail!"
Fuck, looks like I'll be visiting the jail on my first day home. I sigh. I look up to thank my savior, but he's nowhere in sight, where did he go?
Damn, I should have thanked him!
