Axel's POV
"Yes, what do you want, baby?" I ask my girlfriend, Miranda. She smiles at me.
Miranda...she's very beautiful. The perfect girlfriend. Sexy, smart, feminine, elegant, and graceful. She's the epitome of a woman.
I'm a serial playboy, but Miranda is the only one that can stick to me through this. She's the only one who exceeded the one-month rule that's why she's the only one that received the title- girlfriend.
I like it. Miranda's so unlike...Louise, my fiancee. I sigh, why do I think about her? Only God knows where she is right now. And she shouldn't be here, knowing her, she's gonna be causing trouble.
I'm not hoping anymore that she'll change.
"I want you, baby," Miranda replies to me and kiss me on the lips softly. I kiss her back, she's always acting innocent. I like it. She got a handle on what I want.
"You know I'll give you anything you want," I moan as I try to pry her lips open with my tongue.
"Really? Then... introduce me to your parents," she hugs me tight. I frown.
"What's the hurry, baby?" I ask her. "There's no need for it. You're perfect for me, and they won't say a thing."
"They will, after all, you have a fiancee," she gazes at me with her pale blue eyes and I feel like my heart twisted. I grab her hands.
"I promise you. How about...I go shopping with you tomorrow. You can buy anything you want?" I say softly to her.
She pouts. "Do you think money can appease me all the time?"
"I'll buy you a new car," I say to her. She likes cars. Her eyes lit up, but she still looks conflicted.
"I...I... okay! But you have to promise me. You're going to buy me a car," she tells me.
I nod my head. "Of course. Now let's continue."
I nibble on her ear when my phone rings incessantly.
"Ignore it," Miranda moans and grabs me to her, but I stop her. I move to pick up my phone and shocked to see who is calling.
Louise Archer. I walk away from my girlfriend and answer her call.
"What?" I ask her. She really knows how to interrupt my good time. Darn it!
"I...Hi, Axel. Uh...you see...I have a problem," she sounds nervous. s**t, she's home if she's talking about this.
I close my eyes and pinch my forehead. I can feel a headache coming.
"I kinda get that. Every time you come home, you always bring me trouble. What is it this time?" I ask her. If not for my mother's order, I won't bother with her.
"You see-"
"Go direct to the point," I snap at her. The more I listen to her, the more I feel bad about Miranda. Miranda... deserves more.
"You have to bail me out of jail!" Louise shouts.
"Bail you- f**k! What the hell did you do!? Are you crazy?!" I feel like my night has gone from bad to worse. Now, I have to fix her mess. It's a lot worse now.
"I beat up a senator's son, and they're pressing for charges. I can't afford this, Axel. I have a championship to go to," I can hear the tone of worry in her voice.
I don't like this at all. Maybe I should let Louise rot in jail. The championship word didn't even register in my brain.
"Damn it!" I snap at her. "Are you in the city jail?"
"Yes."
"Wait for me," I hang up and pick up my things. I have lots of things to do, and I need to call my lawyer.
"Was that your fiancee?" Miranda asks me. She's standing by the doorway. I didn't even notice her.
"What? Uh... well, yes," I answer her. "I'm sorry, baby, I need to leave. I have to help her. I promise we're buying a car tomorrow."
I kiss her on the lips and runs outside. I don't know the reason why...but I can't bear to let Louise stay in jail for a minute more.
I have to hurry.
*******************
I run to the front desk as soon as I arrive. My lawyer following after me.
"Where is Lola Archer?" I ask the police officer. "Tell me!"
"Louise Archer?" The police act nonchalant. "She's here but not accepting visitors."
"When did this happen?" My lawyer confronts the police. "I'm her lawyer."
"I'm sorry, but we're not accepting bail for her. She's being pressed for grave charges, and her case is being reviewed," the police answers me.
"f**k! What grave charges? Whose Senator it is?" I snap at the police. "Tell me who it is?"
We're getting attention, and some people start listening to us.
"Sir, please refrain from causing a commotion here or else, we're going to place you behind bars," the police says in an authoritative voice. I grit my teeth.
"f**k!" I murmur.
"Sir, we need to-" I gesture for my lawyer to shut up. I grabbed my ID from my bag and places it in front of the officer.
"Surely, this will be enough to make me a bail for her?" I ask the officer. He looks at my ID and back at me. He holds a tinge of doubt on his face.
"I'm Axel Hunter, Sen. Hunter's only son. In case you don't know my father, he's the head of the senate. And my grandfather is the retired General Hunter. He has a lot of friends, and he can make sure that you'll never find work in this field again," I state to him.
It's easier to use my father's influence. I'm influential and powerful but not on the scale of local police knowing me.
"Sir...I'm gonna go and see the head," the officer scrambles to hurry. I tap my finger on the desk, impatient.
"f**k this!" I walk in and check the cells one by one. I come to the last one, and there she is, Louise huddles in the corner, sleeping.
She can still sleep in this kind of place? There's no bed here too! I sigh and tries to calm down. A few police run toward me, they have sweat on their foreheads.
"Open it," I order and they open it fast. I push the officer out and call out to Louise. I shake her shoulders.
"Louise... Louise."
She opens her eyes, stares at me, and smiles. "I knew you'd come."
She jumps in my arms without hesitation. I weigh her, and I feel like she lost some weight. I glare at the police officers. They should be ready to face the consequences of their actions
But Louise's my priority, for now. I walk out the station, carrying her in my arms.
