I had managed to slip out of Gideon's palace unnoticed, as every guard was on high alert, scouring the dungeon for me. Thankfully, I was already far away from that place.
As I scanned the area, I spotted my brothers, Austin and James, a short distance away. Their faces lit up with joy at my return. Hunter and Arthur stood beside them, equally relieved to see that I had escaped unscathed.
Austin approached me, his expression as familiar as it had always been throughout our lives. He had always taken on the role of protector for his siblings, but since my marriage, he hadn't quite been able to do that for me as much. I could see the relief washing over him at my safe arrival.
