The smell of fresh air hit me like a semi out of control. It was warm, crisp, and fresh all at the same time. Finally, after being trapped in the damn hospital, I was finally being set free into the wild. The happiness I was feeling could make my body combust into a million micro pieces ready to become part of life. As the hospital doors opened, eruptions of cheers and applause filled the air. My pack stood along the way to the house, leaving a clear path. If I ever held any doubt of what love felt like, this moment made it evaporate. Love blossomed in the pit of my stomach, filling my body and soul with warmth. I greeted them all with a nod and stopped occasionally to accept a wild flower from the children.
