We get dressed in a rush, just throwing some clothes on so we can go downstairs. I almost trip trying to squeeze into some jeans. I've been snacking way too often lately.
We run downstairs to meet Alpha Carson and his Beta, Julia. It's rare for an Alpha to leave the pack, but when he has to, the Beta stays to take care of the pack. So for both of them to be here... I can't even imagine what news they bring.
