It was midnight, but I was still busy working on my laptop. I know I should stop as I have been straining my eyes too much, but there was so much to do. I leaned my head back on the chair, tilted my head up, and closed my eyes. I took a deep breath before opening my eyes again. I turned to look behind me and saw Alya curled in the middle of the bed. At least she had fallen asleep.
I wanted to kick myself for turning her down earlier. I knew I had hurt her feelings. It was hard having to have control of steel.
