Alya POV
When we reached the palace, I felt tired to the bones. I wanted a hot bath and my bed. And Leo. Sleeping wouldn’t be the same again for me. Leo’s hot body next to mine was all I wanted.
“Jeraldine!” Mom was freaking out when I entered the dining hall.
Never had I seen her like this. She was always calm and cool. I have had heard stories of her from Uncle Lucas saying that Mom was a badass. He told me how Mom had risked her life before for Dad. My heart bled to see her helpless.
“Mom!” I went to her quickly. She engulfed me in a big, motherly hug as soon as I got to her.
