Our eyes locked after he had said the location.
Their house is in the village. That’s so near! They are near the palace! Had they been observing us?
“The village is only a few minutes away from the palace. They are so near,” I mumbled to myself, but knew everyone in the meeting room heard what I said. It was not my intention to be heard but it came out as is.
Leo nodded while still holding my gaze. “Yes, princess. They are near.”
It was as if time slowed down as we both held on to our gazes. It was difficult to stop myself from lowering my gaze to his lips.
