It's been exactly two weeks since Gavin ordered Isabelle's house arrest. Sure enough, he made sure Isabelle wasn't going to leave the house anytime soon. The house itself was being patrolled by a dozen of men when Gavin went out. Mason had kept her company inside the house and only left when Gavin would dismiss him for the night. She was truly grateful that Gavin had decided to let Mason stay her permanent guard because Mason reminded Isabelle of her brothers back home. It made her less lonely.
Gavin, on the other hand, would leave bright and early only to come back just before lunch to check on her. He made sure to eat with her and would leave soon after he's satisfied with her safety. Gavin would then come back really late in the evening when Isabelle was already fast asleep.
