[Livy] Ben gave the two littlest kids each a bat and told them they could hit the chained men as much and as hard as they wanted. We weren’t going to force the kids into violence. This was just so they could have the chance at some sort of feeling of justice. The children cautiously made their way up. The other kids cheered them on.
