My alarm went off at six and I switched it off. It was a little difficult since Kellan was sleeping with his head on my chest. It had been a rough night for me. I was worried about how today would go down. Kellan was just excited that we’d be heading home soon.
I rubbed his back until he started to stir. He held me a little tighter. It was our new normal. It comforted both of us.
“Time to get up, Kellan. We have a lot to do today.” I murmured.
“I had the most wonderful dream. I was back at Sawtooth and Aaron was coming home. The girls were so excited. I was excited. I don’t know if he’s what my brain put together based on your description, but he was gorgeous and loved the girls instantly. Do you think that’s what’s going to happen, Oliver?”
