The town near the pack lands wasn’t huge, I was grateful for that. I had the men drop me on the edge of town and walked in. I’d been wandering the town for several hours, making sure I was as visible as possible. Throughout the day, I would see men follow me for a while. I didn’t stop anywhere for too long. The hunters were being as cautious as I was. They wanted exactly the right moment to take me. I think these were the best group by far. I really wished I had some idea of where the people who wanted to kill me were coming from. We wouldn’t have had to speed this up to make sure we avoided them finding me in Idaho.
