  Elliot “Alright, he is doing great. I think he is ready to be discharged this afternoon,” Mary tells me. My eyes swell up with tears, the happy kind. She holds onto me as I sob, letting go of the pent up emotions from this past week on a stranger’s shoulders. At least she was nice.   “Hey, you are doing good Mama.
