I get a text from Elliot saying she is going to share with her parents. I replied to ask if I could share with mine, and she said yes.
My parents just bought a retirement home next to a lake. They were in the process of moving there, so I was hoping they were still on the territory. It’s much easier to explain some of those things in person.

“Hello dearest parents, how are you doing?”
“Devin, what did you get yourself into now?” My Dad responds. They know when I say ‘dearest’ it’s because I am in trouble and need help. It’s something Aiden and I have done since we were kids.
“Well, I was wondering if you could meet me at the conference room at the pack house. Unless you aren’t here, then I guess we can meet up at the new place.”
