ANAIH’S POV
I thought the oracle said that I wouldn’t go into heat as long as Max wasn’t close to me but here I was feeling the worst pain that I had ever felt in my whole life. It felt as if someone was cutting my insides and setting them on fire and then doing it all over again once he put them back together. I was in heat and there was nothing that could convince me otherwise certainly not that lying oracle. I was beginning to realize that she may have lied to me about everything because Max wasn’t here and yet I was in heat. Michael wasn’t even close to me and yet I was in heat. It was as if he was purposefully avoiding me as if he knew I was in heat and didn’t want to be near me.
