24. His Mistress

1231 Words
3rd Person POV In the morning after her special dream, Liv felt a strange ache in her chest and the sudden need to see Laius. Without thinking further about it, she decides to portal herself to Laius' house in hell, to see him. She arrives there and follows his scent to a sitting room. She enters it and is faced with a startling scene. Mircella and Laius were sitting on a chair. She was only wearing her underwear and straddling the clothed thighs of a very shirtless Laius, her hands were wrapped around his neck. Liv screamed loudly, attracting the attention of her mate and the Succubus. Laius’s eyes were fixed on her, as they started growing red. “You sure like them loud,” Mircella muttered, looking at Laius, but he didn’t even acknowledge her remark. After snapping out of his shocked haze, he stood up abruptly, making Mircella fall onto the floor. He took a couple of slow and measured steps towards Liv, but his mate was faster. She closed the distance between them and slapped him across the face, her eyes narrowed with anger and hurt. “Sugar, please...” Laius pleaded. “Don’t you dare to talk to me you froging jerk, go back to your friend!! Please don’t mind my presence, it‘s not like you care anyway!!” Without waiting for his reply, Liv stormed out and portaled herself back to Avalon’s castle. Choking a sob that tried to escape her throat and breathed deeply, she attempted to hold back the tears welling in her eyes. She wouldn't cry. Even though she felt her heart clenching in pain. She wouldn't let it break her. She went directly to Avalon’s office, needing the comfort of one of her mates. One who was not Laius. Liv opened the door without knocking. Avalon looked at her in annoyance, but his gaze changed fast, becoming softer as he noticed his mate's expression. Startled, he peered at her pale and sad face, “Liv, are you okay baby?” his voice was gentle. Standing up swiftly, he crossed his office with a few long strides, taking his mate in an embrace. Liv remained silent, in his arms, fighting her sobs. Avalon drew soothing circles on her back gently, comforting her. His warmth and scent, fresh verbena and mint, calmed her down a bit. Sitting her on his lap on the sofa next to them, he ran his fingers through her hair. “How can we kill a demon?” Liv asked with a whisper. Avalon chuckled. “The idea is tempting, but it’s not what you really want.” She looked at him, brows furrowed. “So now you are telling me what I want?” “What happened, Livia?” Avalon exhaled. She shook her head and Avalon cupped her face in his hands, looking intently at her moistened blue eyes, “Tell me, little mate”, his voice was gentle but firm. “Laius is a big fat jerk!” Liv murmured. “Yes, I know.” Avalon nodded, agreeing automatically. A servant knocked at the door and announced that Elric was there to speak with Avalon. Elric comes inside the office and is a tad surprised to see his beautiful mate there as well. “King Avalon” he nodded, and Avalon nodded back formally. “Hello, beautiful!” Elric greeted her, bending down to kiss Liv’s cheek. “Hi,” she replied shortly, with a gloomy face. “What happened?” Elric asked, noticing her odd behavior and demeanor. His hand caressing her cheek with the back of his hand, his forehead creased with lines of worry. However, Liv doesn't answer. Seeing that she won't say anything, Avalon answers for her, “It was Laius, he did something to her.” Elric sighs deeply. Laius storms inside Avalon's office. “Talking about the devil”, the Wizard King exhales sharply, but Laius ignores his comment. “Liv,” Laius calls as he walks towards her. She stands up in a jump and takes some steps further away. “No! Go away! Where is your succubitch mistress?” she asks with a frown. “Please Sugar, talk to me,” Laius asks softly, as he runs his hand through his hair. “We have nothing to talk about.” She snaps, but Laius gets closer to her and reaches a hand towards her. “Don't get those filthy hands close to me.” She yells. “Laius, just….” Elric starts. Laius looks at him enraged, eyes red. He is fuming and smoke starts to leave his body as if it was sweat. “Stay out of this!” Laius shouts in a deep and commanding voice, cutting Elric off. Liv's eyes grew wide, but she didn't flinch. “Don't snap at him!” She sighed in exasperation. “Come with me j*rk, we can talk, but if you get close to me I'll castrate you myself.” Her mates flinched at her words and Elric shook his head. She left the office without looking back and followed her. Elric sighs, “Now this bloody i***t is going to make us lose all the progress we made to get to our mate’s good side.” “And in her pants. The waiting is not only hard for him. Anyway, we shouldn’t leave those two alone,” Avalon replied. “He wouldn't hurt her,” Elric uttered, shaking his head. “That is not what I fear,” Avalon exhaled sharply before they headed in the direction where Laius and Liv went. ~ * ~ Laius and Liv didn't even notice their presence and continued their discussion in an empty wine cellar a few doors away from Avalon's office. “Sweets try to understand. I am a demon, the most powerful one. So, I have many carnal needs and I am not used to waiting or staying even a day without fulfilling my desires.” Liv raises a brow. “Wow! That was the lamest excuse ever, Sweets.” She said the last part bitterly. “But it's true…” his eyes went red with aggravation. “Don't give me the bunny look!” Liv mocked at his red eyes. He snarled and Liv smiled sweetly, saying firmly, “I am so sorry that you are a pervert that can't stay without getting any. Go to a support group! Get a grip, you have a mate now! You can't just get into everyone's pants.” “Besides, why can you have fun with the three of us, and we males, I, can't see other females…” Laius started, but Liv cut him off with a huff. Rage was building up within her. She couldn't believe his words. “Seriously? Goddess, you are so stupid!! I can be with the three of you because you are my MATES!! I know that I am yours, as I belong to the three of you and I won't want any other males. But that also means that you three are mine. Don't use that card, Laius. You can't be that dumb!” Laius exhales deeply. “I can't be with you if you behave like this! That is unacceptable!” Liv added, crossing her arms in front of her chest. Smoke leaves Laius' ears as if they were chimneys.
