As I drove away, my phone buzzed with texts and calls.
But I ignored them.
I didn’t care to hear what anybody had to say.
After a short drive, I pulled up the gate. But I paused for a moment and turned off the engine. Did I really want to spend the night under the same roof with Valerie?
She would want to have a conversation with me and I wasn’t ready for that. I was tired of her lies and disrespect. I just wanted a break from everything.
I shouldn’t have gone to that stupid event!
Now I would be trending for all the bad reasons!
I felt good about punching him, but I felt bad about myself for not being able to control my emotions. The whole world would know that I was insecure.
