I didn't know what to expect when I stepped foot into the hospital.
Finally telling Marcus the truth wasn't something I had planned. There wasn't time for that--not with everything spinning out of control. It was just something I needed to do before the guilt swallowed me while.
Whatever came out of this conversation couldn’t possibly be worse than what I’d been carrying inside me.
At least, that’s what I told myself.
