Make me forget

My wolf growled in my head, not liking how Wanda interrupted our time with Yadieliz. My wolf really liked Yadieliz and so did I, but I have a lot of enemies. I don't know if I can keep her safe. A few minutes later Zack walked in.

“That was a nice surprise” Zack said, sitting down.

“Tell me about it. Never in my wildest dream did I think I was going to see her again”, I said, knowing he was talking about Yadieliz.

“Neither did I. I already showed her to her room. It seems that Steven is her stepbrother. Steven and Roger, his mate, were there and were helping her put her clothes away, and I had already told her about training in the morning. I can tell she’s excited about it” Zack said.

“I wonder why she wants to become a warrior?” I said.

“You’ll have to ask her. Did you talk about anything else?” Zack asked.

“I tried, but Wanda barged into my office”, I said, feeling a headache coming on.

“That sucks. Ever since that day, she thinks that you guys are a thing", he shakes his head.

"Oh, did you see Yadieliz's car? I love it” Zack said.

“It’s a very nice car” I said. I continued to do some work and Zack did some of his work in my office as well, for a few hours.

‘Your highness, dinner is ready’ one of the Omegas linked me.

‘Thank you’ I linked back, cutting off the link.

“Dinner is ready” I said to Zack.

“Let’s go then” Zack said. We walked out of my office and I couldn’t help but look around. I was having dinner at the pack house tonight. The pack house is almost as big as my castle. Pack members can enter the castle when they wish, but they have their own pack house. I realized that there were some pack members missing for dinner and Yadieliz wasn’t around.

“Is she still up in her room?” I asked Zack.

“I don’t know”, Zack said. One of the Omegas, Elizabeth, walked in.

“Elizabeth, where is the new pack member?” Zack asked.

“Oh, so… um… the pack members wanted to welcome her into the pack, so they decided to have a get together outside. I believe they have been out there for an hour now drinking some werewine. I believe Marcos is with her too”, Elizabeth said.

“Oh Goddess” Zack said. Marcos is Zack’s brother’s mate.

“Please tell me she had dinner first”, Zack said.

“Yes, Marcos made sure she ate dinner. If I may ask, Royal Beta, why does she have pink eyes?” Elizabeth asked.

“I don’t know Eli”, Zack said, and Elizabeth nodded. She bowed her head in respect before leaving. Bane paced in my head as I began to eat making small conversations with Zack. By the time I was done eating, I had a headache.

‘What is wrong with you?’ I growled at my wolf.

‘Yadieliz, I want to see Yadieliz’ he says.

“Please tell me he’s here”, Drake, Zack’s brother and Marco’s mate says, walking in the dining room.

“He’s in the back with Yadieliz” Zack said, and Drake looked a bit confused.

“One of the new pack members”, Zack says, and Drake nods.

‘Go outside’ my wolf roared in my head.

‘Alright, alright’ I growled.

“I’m about to go outside and have a drink with the pack members. Care to join me?” I asked them, standing up.

“Sure”, Drake and Zack said in unison.

“I could use a strong drink”, Drake said. We walk out to the back and there are pack members dancing while others just gather around the bonfire. My eyes go directly to Yadieliz and Marcos who are dancing reggaeton and laughing. As if sensing his mate, Marcos turned and looked at us. He smiles wide and grabs Yadieliz’s arm before dragging her towards us.

“Yadieliz, I want you to meet my mate Drake. He’s the Royal General of the Royal Pack and also Royal Beta Zack’s brother. Baby, this is Yadieliz, she’s our new pack member, and she’s Puerto Rican”, Marco’s introduced.

“It’s nice to meet you, Yadieliz. Welcome to the pack” Drake said.

“Thank you, Royal General Drake” Yadieliz said, bowing her head in respect. She then looked at Zack and me. When she looks at me the tips of her ears turn red, making the guys arch an eyebrow and look at me.

“Your highness, Royal Beta Zack” she bowed her head in respect.

“Come on Yadieliz, I told you to call me Zack”, Zack said.

“You can call me Drake”, Drake said.

“And you can call me Elijah” I said, making her look at me before nodding.

“Beta Zack, will you dance with me?” one of the pack’s sluts asked Zack as she pulled him away. A slow song ‘Perfect by Ed Sheeran’ began to play. Drake pulled Marcos close to the bonfire.

‘Ask her to dace’ my wolf growled.

“Would you like to dance?” I asked, making her look up at me.

“I don’t want problems with your mate” she said. I tilted my head to the side.

‘Did someone tell her I had a mate?’ I wondered.

“I don’t have a mate” I said truthfully.

“Then girlfriend. I’m sure the woman that barged into your office wouldn’t like knowing you were dancing with someone else” she said. Another slow song ‘I wanna know by Joe’ came on.

“Wanda is nothing to me, and we’re definitely not dating” I said, pulling Yadieliz to me. I placed her hands behind my neck and I placed my hands on her hips as we got to dance.

“I went out with her once and ever since then she thinks she has this claim on me which she doesn’t” I explained.

“You don’t have to explain anything to me” she said.

“I know, but I just wanted to clear things up that I’m single. I’m not the type of person that is with a woman and then sleeps with someone else” I made sure to clear things up. This made her blush as she nodded. We continued dancing, and it felt like it was just her and me. I surprised myself when I began to purr, making her come closer to me. When the song finished, she looked up at me. I wanted to kiss her lips again.

‘Kiss her. Take her home with us’ Bane, my wolf said. Just as I leaned down, her phone rang, making her jump.

“I’m sorry” she said, grabbing her phone out of her pocket. As soon as she looked at the phone she growled. I looked at the phone to see it was someone named Devin.

“What do you want?” she snarled. I heightened my senses.

“Yadieliz, I’m sorry. Come back home. I won’t see your sister again” I heard the male say. Yadieliz laughed, but there was no humor in her laugh.

“You cheated on me with my stepsister for Goddess knows how long, and you expect me to come back to you? You must be out of your damn mind” Yadieliz said, shaking her head.

“Yadieliz-”

“Listen to me because I’m not going to say this again. I wasted two years of my life with you. I was faithful and good to you and look what I got in return. I’m not coming back. I have a new home and a new family. I wish you the best, with my sister”, Yadieliz said.

“Do you think anyone is going to want someone like you? Your parents are dead, and your mate rejected you. No one wants someone like you” the male, Devin said, making my wolf snarl in my head.

“Devin?” she called softly, and I looked at her because I thought she was about to cry, but what I saw made my breath hitch. Her eyes were glowing, and her canines were elongated.

“Yes, Yadieliz? Are you coming back to me now?” the male, Devin, asked. I could hear the smile on his face.

“Devin, I want you to get on your knees and pray as much as you can to the Moon Goddess because the next time I see you, I’m going to rip your tongue out and feed it to the rogues” Yadieliz snarled.

“You will risk war with your new pack? Your new family?” the male asked.

“If you think I’m afraid of being a rogue, then you’re mistaken, Devin. For my mother and father, for the people I love and care about, I would become a rogue. I will become what you fear the most” Yadieliz said before hanging up. Yadieliz looked at me. I walked closer to her and gently cupped her cheek. She leaned into my touch as her canines retracted, and her eyes stopped glowing.

“I’m sorry” she said, but I shook my head. She looks up at me, making my breath hitch. Her eyes were glowing as she looked at me.

“Elijah, make me forget” she said softly. I picked her up bridal style and used my werewolf speed to get to the castle.
