Leticia’s POV
“RUN!”
Aria’s command exploded in my skull like a thunderclap, raw and urgent, cutting straight through the wall I’d just slammed between us.
My heart lurched. I thought I could find some peace in the forest, but it looks like I was wrong.
Considering I’m in the middle of a pack, I never expected rogues to be around, but it looks like I just encountered one.
Another crack. Closer this time.
My skin prickled. Every hair on my arms stood on end.
“Why?” I whispered, voice cracking even as my legs were already coiling beneath me. “Why now? What is it?”
Aria didn’t waste words on explanation. Her presence surged forward, pressing against my mind.
“Shift. Now. We’re in danger.”
Then a growl, and I cussed at myself for having the survival instincts of a freaking goldfis
